Paintball/Airsoft
Shotgun:
One
of our newest projects is the "Paintball/Airsoft Shotgun". The shotgun is a
single shot weapon that could be used for paintballs or airsoft bb's.
The "shotgun" has a 20" long, 3/4" diameter barrel. The shotgun employs a
constant air adapter to utilize any size co2 tank or a 12 gram quick change
adapter. The best performance will be using the shotgun with a constant
air tank with an on/off valve. This will enable you to reload the shotgun
very quickly by simply opening your tank valve to pressurize the expansion
chamber, then closing the valve again.
The shotgun will utilize a simple packing wad such as a small piece of
plastic shopping bag material. Test firing has proved the gun to be
surprisingly accurate up to 100 feet with a single paintball. Multiple
paintballs can be placed in the barrel to provide a shotgun pattern effect.
Another way to use this weapon is with airsoft bb's (an ever growing popular
sport). Several dozen airsoft bb's can be placed in the
shotgun
barrel.
The Paintball shotgun is triggered using a new compact valve mechanism that
can be fired with the flick of a finger. Let it also be known that the
shotgun is a very quiet weapon! A great help in those "one shot, one kill"
tactics.
Another
new feature on this marker is the introduction of the all new loading system
that will be seen on future cannons from Alternative Paintball.
The Shotgun is the first to utilize a breech loading system. No longer will
you have to roll the paintballs down the muzzle of the cannon. Simply slide
the breech block foward, and load. The loading chamber is large enough to
easily place a packing wad and paintballs quickly and easily.
The shotgun in these pics is the prototype which was not painted
yet. The released version will be painted all black. The released version
will come standard with a constant air adapter. You may also opt for the 12
gram only version for no additional charge.
