M203 Sabot Cannon

This cannon project is taken from the U.S. Army's improvement on the m79
grenade launcher - the M203.
The M203 Grenade launcher was designed to be mounted directly and
permanently to the m16 rifle. Leaving the grenadier able to use his launcher
and rifle concurrently in a fight. This is a great idea which I have now
adapted to paintball use.
The "M203 Sabot cannon" is a pvc paint throwing weapon that mounts
directly to your gun by sliding the unit over your barrel. The sabot cannon
will not affect your guns normal firing. The cannon is launched in a similar
fashion to my other paint cannons using 12gram or constant air co2. A 1" pvc
pipe is slid over your paintgun barrel. This 1" pipe is attached to the
cannon barrel which is made from 1.5" PVC pipe with on overall length of 14"
that positions the barrel under and to the side of your paintball guns
barrel. Trigger assembly uses the 1/4 turn ball valve and the 12 gram
adapter is fitted to the valve and pipe sections used as expansion chambers,
enabling the whole thing to fit compactly on your gun.
The cannons' short barrel length will not make it an accurate weapon, but
an area weapon (what grenades are actually used for anyway) with a range
similar to the m79 cannon (50+ feet direct fire, 100+ feet or more by
lobbing the paint in a trajectory). The cannon has the ability to take out
several opponents with one shot from the wide firing pattern. 20+ paintballs
will fit in the barrel.
The cannon should fit on just about any gun with any barrel (with the
exception of oversized diameter barrels ex: stingray I), and has been tested
on the stock VM-68 barrel, the All American and the progressive from Smart
Parts. Here is a close-up of the sabot cannon by itself, not attached to a
paintgun.
Custom setups can be configured to your gun. A dual feed co2 adapter can
be ordered an the sabot cannon can run off your paintgun's' co2 supply.
This cannon is no longer available to order. You may still
purchase the plans to this cannon by going to the store .
